Kris and Charity have been married for over 23 years. Over the course of their marriage, they have had three children together and have also fostered more than two dozen kids.
Kris became a Christian in his early 20s after feeling he had come to "an end" with himself, wondering if this was all that was meant for him in life. After searching for some answers, Kris soon found Christianity, and more importantly to him, a relationship with God. Kris began his work in the ministry 18 years ago. He has worked as a youth pastor, assistant pastor, and now works as executive pastor of Heart of the city with his wife. Before Heart of the City, Kris worked as an assistant pastor at Anchorage City Church. Kris and Charity felt a strong "call from God" to open a church in downtown Anchorage with Anchorage City Church as it's sister church.
Outside his dedication to the church, Kris thrives on riding his road bike for his overall health and mental clarity. His goal is to ride 100 miles a week. In addition to pastoring, Kris is hoping to be admitted to a Harvard writing program after performing well in two more classes.
